What does fear mean to you?
I looked up its definition and it’s defined as “an unpleasant emotion caused by the “belief” that someone or something is dangerous.”
When was the last time you experienced this emotion?
The key word in the definition is the “belief”.
When we get out of our comfort zone, we perceive and experience fear and the only way to get out of that state of emotion is to first become aware.
I recently started my morning routine by walking and running with my 3 year old golden retriever, Teddy.
I took him out of his normal comfort zone. I ran across a busy 4 lane street with cars.
I didn’t realize he was in fear until he backed out of his collar and started running back across the street toward the direction of my house. The noises of the cars passing by terrified him.
As I realized he got rid of his constraint, I ran after him. He was in fear and suddenly stopped in the middle of traffic while turning to look at me, a car nearly ran him over. The only thing he wanted was to make the noises disappear. The fear that I experienced was knowing that his life was in danger.
We all perceive our fears differently, don’t we?
When was the last time you experienced this feeling?
Did you get out of your comfort zone to experience the growth you desire for your personal goals?
As long as your life isn’t in danger, do you live in fear or regret?
