Self love rituals are things that you do for yourself to love, nourish, and achieve “wholeness” in your overall well-being.
A great way to strengthen your self love to further build self trust is through the work of inner child healing or “reparenting”.
Our inner child is defined as “a person’s supposed/original or true self, especially when regarded as damaged or concealed by negative childhood experiences.”
When we have childhood trauma or negative experiences not healed, we may still act out the pain as an adult when our wounded inner child gets triggered.
There are many ways that we can re-parent or nourish our inner child. One of the most effective ways for me is through self talk.
When I am in situations where I don’t feel physically or emotionally safe as I was bullied by a group of older children when I was 7.
I would tell my inner child- “Kolline…..
Don’t worry! I’ve got you!
How do you feel?
How can I support you?
What is bothering you?
You are powerful.
You are exactly where you need to be.
I will always love you unconditionally!
To combat fear, we ought to give ourselves the love and compassion.
What do you tell your inner child when you experience negative emotions?
~ Love you more ❤️
